At the end of October another badminton tournament of the TPA PRAGUE OPEN series took place. This time it was a mixed pairs tournament, and in addition to the Czech TPA staff, 7 foreign pairs, namely from Slovakia and Austria, also took part in the tournament. However, the Czech representatives defended their colours in an exemplary manner and the best of the foreign guests were Bohuš Kočtúch and Natalia Fazekašová in seventh place.
The medal positions were thus occupied by the representatives of the Prague office – the bronze medal was won by Luboš Balek and Terezka Silvestrova, who, after more than an hour-long battle, lost in the semi-finals 3:2 sets to the until then completely supreme pair Tomáš Podškubka & Betka Danová, who then quite smoothly beat Martin Rovný and Bára Sluková 3:0 in the final and enjoyed a well-deserved victory.
Most of the athletes then moved to the well-known Hajnovka, where they evaluated their performances and made badminton plans for the current season. The next tournament for men and women pairs awaits us in the spring, and it is never too early to start training…
